The NFL is really the gift that keeps on giving, which is reinforced by the fact that it is rolling out games right on Christmas Day. And one of the games fans will find inside their Christmas socks is the showdown between the reigning Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams and the Denver Broncos, who will be parading a shiny new quarterback in the form of Russell Wilson.

The full 2022 NFL season schedule for all teams is yet to be released, but at least Rams and Broncos fans know who their squads will be dealing with on Dec. 25, which also falls on a Sunday.

While Wilson will have to adjust to his new surroundings as the latest Broncos quarterback, he doesn’t need an introduction when it comes to the Rams, having spent his first 10 seasons in the NFL in the NFC West division with the Seattle Seahawks. The last time Wilson played against the Rams, his Seahawks fell victim to Sean McVay’s team to the tune of a 20-10 score on the road in Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season.

Wilson was traded in the offseason to the Broncos from Seattle along with some picks for Drew Lock, Noah Fant, Shelby Harris, and other picks last March in a blockbuster deal that sent shockwaves across the league. Expected to elevate the ceiling of the Broncos’ offense that features plenty of talented pieces, Wilson has a chance to prove that Denver made the right decision by taking down the Rams on Christmas Day. Of course, that’s going to be easier said than done against the reigning kings of the NFL, not to mention that the game will be in the Rams’ own backyard.
